Last week, a team from Invest in Gloucestershire attended the UK's largest advanced manufacturing trade show: Advanced Engineering.

This annual event, held in Birmingham, represented a great occasion to see the latest advances in aerospace, composites, automotive, medical devices and other advanced manufacturing areas. It also provided a great opportunity to meet with local, national and international companies in the advanced engineering sector.

With over 500 exhibitors and 15,000 professionals across the manufacturing and engineering sectors, Advanced Engineering also included an extensive open forum programme showcasing more than 200 presentations. After two extremely busy days, we packed our bags with a rewarding sense of proud after checking first-hand that British innovation is gaining momentum, even in the most challenging of climates.
