Invest in Gloucestershire attended two of the most prestigious Agri-Tech summits
A Gloucestershire team including Farm491, Hartpury University and Hartpury College, Tewkesbury Borough Council and Gloucestershire County Council visited two of the most important Agri-Tech events in the UK last week.
The World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit is an international networking event held annually in London where businesses, entrepreneurs and investors from the Agri-Tech sector meet for two intense days of debate and deal-making in the British capital. The main goal of the summit is to accelerate the commercialisation of advanced agricultural technologies by generating global partnerships and collaborations. This year’s event gathered 530 agribusinesses, 75 speakers and more than 100 start-ups from more than 40 different countries. Thus, it represented an extraordinary opportunity to meet with some of the leading Agri-Tech businesses and the most promising international companies in this field; it also allowed us to present our comprehensive Agri-Tech proposition for Gloucestershire.
The 6th edition of Future Food-Tech, held also in London, brought together more than 500 global leaders to share ideas, nurture partnerships and encourage innovative solutions to the food industry’s most critical issues. By pushing forward the use of the latest technological solutions and the introduction of improved products, this platform is a great meeting point for investors, start-ups and global brands in the agrifood sector from all around the world. Our presence in the summit gave us the opportunity to learn more about current and future advances in the agrifood sector, and to exploit networking possibilities.
