Invest in Gloucestershire visits China
David Owen, Chief Executive of GFirst LEP, and Chris Lau, Head of Inward Investment, visited four cities in China last week to promote Gloucestershire and meet with key investors in the East Asian country.
The first stop was Shenzhen, where the team met with BYD to explore green transport alternatives for Gloucestershire.
Next, Zhengzhou, where David Owen presented Gloucestershire’s inward investment opportunities at the UK Zhengzhou City Regeneration Forum, alongside Manchester and leading British companies such as Arup, Atkins and Mott MacDonald.
In Shangai, a meeting was held with Renishaw to help the company with China market access.
The last stop of this productive trip was Guangzhou, where the team had the opportunity to understand first-hand trade and investment opportunities from the Greater Bay Area.
