LAMMA’20: The UK’s leading agricultural machinery event
A member of our inward investment team has attended LAMMA’20, the UK’s busiest show for everything related to agricultural machinery, equipment and technology.
The show, run over two days at the NEC in Birmingham, has been very well attended, with an estimated gathering of over 40,000 visitors. More than 700 exhibitors have showcased the latest technological advancements in tractors, drills, cultivation tools and other advanced machinery across 11 sold-out halls.
Farm 491, the UK’s leading Agri-Tech incubator space located in Gloucestershire, was present at LAMMA’20 with a stand at the newest Farming 4.0 zone. This zone highlighted UK farming’s manufacture and adoption of innovative technology that will help underpin the future of food production.
We had the opportunity to meet with a number of companies based in Gloucestershire, from cost-saving multi-purpose machinery producers to consultancy firms helping brands create disruptive products and services. The use of autonomous robots and artificial intelligence (AI) in agriculture, as well as the current market and trading conditions were all discussed with these companies’ representatives, under the auspices of the Department for International Trade (DiT).
