Forest of Dean Listening to Business Visit - Assurant

Together with the Council, we visited Assurant, a global US insurance firm based at the Forest of Dean.

Assurant is a global provider of risk management products and services with headquarters in New York City, its businesses providing a diverse set of specialty, niche-market insurance products in the property, casualty, extended device protection, and preneed insurance sectors.

Following Assurant's acquisition of The Warranty Group (TWG) in Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire, further growth is planned with headcount expected to increase by 30 staff members. We provided the required support in accessing talent and skills provision for the future via links to local schools and colleges.
