2025: A Promising Year for Invest in Gloucestershire
The Invest in Gloucestershire team is gearing up for an exciting and impactful year in 2025 with a robust schedule of events and collaborative initiatives to drive investment and growth across the region.
Showcasing Gloucestershire at Key National Events
In late May, the team will attend the annual UKREiiF – the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum – in Leeds. Representing Gloucestershire County Council within the Western Gateway Pavilion, the team will seize opportunities to promote the county to prospective investors and strengthen partnerships within the Western Gateway cluster.
Earlier that month, Invest in Gloucestershire will also have a presence at Cyber UK in Manchester, partnering with CyNam to spotlight the county’s burgeoning cyber ecosystem and attract interest from key stakeholders in the tech and cybersecurity sectors.
Strengthening International Ties with Howard County
Building synergies with Howard County, Maryland, USA remains a priority. In February, the team will host a webinar aimed at showcasing the advantages of establishing a physical presence in Howard County to Gloucestershire’s cyber firms and vice versa. Delivered in collaboration with CyNam, this initiative underscores the team’s commitment to fostering international collaboration.
Leading an Outward Trade Delegation
June will see an outward trade delegation, spearheaded by Invest in Gloucestershire. This mission will involve coordination with local partners—including CyNam, the Golden Valley Development, and potentially educational institutions—alongside central Government representatives in the UK and North America, and new partners in Howard County. This delegation will exemplify the county’s commitment to global outreach and collaboration. We are also in talks with the British Embassy in Washington DC for an invite only event to meet with major potential US and Canadian investors
Celebrating Inward Investment Successes
Invest in Gloucestershire will soon publish photographic case studies highlighting recent inward investment wins in the Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing sector. These success stories include Moog’s state-of-the-art site in Tewkesbury and ZeroAvia’s UK headquarters at Cotswold Airport, which together have generated over 200 new jobs and bolstered the county’s innovative aerospace sector.
Co-Hosting the South West Agritech Showcase
On Thursday, March 20, the team will co-host the South West Agritech Showcase at the Westpoint Arena in Exeter. This year’s event focuses on innovation critical to food security. For more details or to register, visit the Eventbrite portal: South West Agritech Showcase 2025 Tickets.
With these activities and more, the first half of 2025 promises to be a pivotal time for Invest in Gloucestershire. Through strategic engagement and partnerships, the team aims to position Gloucestershire as a prime destination for business and innovation.
